Last night's episodes of Sarah 101 showcased some homes in serious need of a facelift. Stuck with bad style and design from decades past, there was no retro revival here.

First up, a master bathroom from the 1980s. Even Sarah and Tommy said it wouldn't be hard to impress the owners, as anything would be better than what they currently had -- agreed! However, the renovation of this room was no easy task... what did you think of the end result?

I personally love, love, love this bathroom. It definitely has a spa feel to it, which the owners love. What do you think of Sarah's "more is more" approach, using a variety of natural stone? And would you agree that keeping the tub is good for resale?

Next, a recently purchased home in the picturesque countryside had anything but a picture perfect kitchen...

After

The owners wanted a modernized farm kitchen, free from rooster-themed trinkets whilst still maintaining some country charm. I think my favourite creations in this kitchen are the barn-board-paneled island and the installation of the 6-bulb island light. What do you think? Do you like this modern approach to country charm?
