If your Chrismahanukwanzaka decorations are really doing it for you, I don't see why you can't just sail through to new years eve. Some of you however are a little bit fussier, and prefer that each holiday have its own, respective palette.

Also quick and easy to obtain (be it through crafting of shopping), the garland is very generous when it comes to impact. The more of them you string up and the longer they are, the more impact they create. I'm a fan of this simple canopy, which shows many of the same type of garland in white and gold. Chic!
Candles
Speaking of many and the same, candles are still your best party companion. This simple mantle theme is further proof that 'more' of the same is always good if you're looking for easy impact. These are just simple flower vases with water and tealights, and they look very elegant (though I would hang something above the mantle on that screaming stone wall).
Disco Balls

Buy'em in bulk and string'em up!. Swap out a some red and green for the ol' mirrored ball and call it New Years! Enough with the totally non sequitur drawl. Disco balls are still fun in my books, and look perfectly contemporary hanging off your chandelier or a dramatic bouquet of branches.
