Splurge vs. Steal: Baroque-Inspired Dinnerware

When you find that perfect set of white dinnerware it is a very happy day. That perfect white set is a real workhorse; it will get you through many a dinner party. Great white dishes are also the perfect base for layering on coloured and patterned plates to customize your table for any occasion. But sometimes the price tag is a total buzz kill.

I love these two Baroque-inspired dinner plates; they've got lovely shapes and are a nice classic white dish to set the scene. In this case I may even prefer the steal over the splurge! On the left is the Jasper Conran at Wedgwood Baroque white dinner plate at $35 each; on the right, you can get four of these white NeoBaroque plates from West Elm for the same price as one of the former.

Which do you like better? The splurge on the left, or the steal on the right?
