Top 5 Friday: Bold Florals, Lace, Zig Zags, and More: Trends in Dinnerware

Admittedly, I have a bit of a love affair with plates and dinnerware. I've collected more than my fair share of different patterns and designs and continue to buy more and more. I love to mix and match different colours and patterns.

Here my favourite trends happening right now in dinnerware. If I could, I would get my hands on most (if not all) the plates below.

Bold Floral
These aren't Grandma's precious floral China patterns. Floral patterns on dinnerware is currently making much bolder moves.

Wildlife on Your Plates
Taking design cues from nature isn't a new idea, but there sure are a lot of deer, butterflies, bees, fish, lions, tigers, and so on making their way onto your tabletop these days.

Precious Lace
There is certainly a fair share of dinnerware out there with sweet patterns and lace-like detail, but the transfer of lace pattern has never been so literal.

Zig Zag
I love a super graphic pattern on dinnerware. Pair these with some classic white dishes and these plates are the stars of the table (second only to your delicious food, of course).

Classic White
While white plates are definitely a classic and never-ending trend, these dishes are a little more fun with elegant yet bold shapes.

Love the Anthropologie On Safari ones (I'm a sucker for anything with a deer) and both lace ones. Pretty!
