Make a Great First Impression: May is CURB APPEAL Month

All those showers will hopefully bring May flowers (or greenery or whatever your garden preference is) into your life — but don't think you'll reap the rewards of April without a little work. We have just bought a 1957 bungalow in a two-university town that has ALL original decor/fixtures.  It has been a student  rental since day one, so has been short on TLC.  It needs some heavy duty therapy!  The yard is 120' wide, and contains grass, grass, and the original concrete porch.

I beg of you, PLEASE HELP!

We have a carport that needs a makeover real bad.  It's a real eye sore.  I have never seen a renovation or addition of a carport on TV, so we don't know where to get ideas or possibities.  I have tried to google it, but there's nothing.  Can you help with any ideas or information.  Thanks a gazillion!
