I am not a fan of my current living conditions. My fiance and I have been in the same, boring, high-rise apartment for more than three years and it's starting to make me itch. We bought a pre-construction condo a long time ago, and we wait, and wait, and wait.

We haven't purchased a stick of
furniture in a very long time, so I find myself constantly scrutinizing what we do have and debating what will make the cut come moving day (which is before the end of this calendar year, I hope!).
I'm hoping to have some money to buy a few new pieces when we do move, but I don't want to be completely wasteful and save a few bucks by giving some existing items
makeovers.
- When we first moved into this apartment, we bought four of these ROGER chairs from IKEA. I liked the shape and it's easy to recover a seat cushion. Of course, I never did recover the cushions. But those chairs are getting a serious lick of paint and some new fabric!
- We picked up the second-hand glass-top table for the bargain price of $75. I loved the simple metal base; it was exactly what I was looking for. The glass top has a few scratches, but I think of it as character. And really, it makes me less nervous about making my own scratches. The base, however, is a bit rusty and kind of a cheap-looking. Paint, paint, paint. It's such a small item, that I'm hoping to paint it in a bright colour to complement my decor
What do you think? Are these items worth salvaging with paint?
