New Shows Sarah 101, Design DNA; New Seasons Selling New York, Dear Genevieve

Our biggest, newest winter schedule ever began last night with new seasons of My First Place and Marriage Under Construction. What did you think of Matt and Kate, our MUC couple for 2011? I look forward to following their journey as we get to know them better throughout the season.

Today is a big day for design fans as we premiere two new shows, Sarah 101 with our #1 team Sarah Richardson and Tommy Smythe and Design DNA. We have an exclusive set visit post coming up (that's Elana with Sarah on location, below) as well as a video interview with Sarah and Tommy who are just as quick-witted and charming in person. Tune in today at 12:30pm ET, 1:30pm PT and 9pm ET, 10pm PT. Design DNA goes behind the scenes of product design from conception to completion each week. Check out the sizzle reel below to get a taste. Episode 1 airs tonight at 9:30pm ET and 10:30pm PT and covers the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, Eames Lounge and Ottoman and the Braun Shaver.

 

Genevieve Gorder helps people create the home they want each week in Dear Genevieve as she answers their email pleas in person! Watch the premiere today at 12pm ET and 8:30pm ET.

And our favourite show through which to live vicariously -- Selling New York -- kicks off season 2 today at 2pm ET and will repeat Saturday nights at 9pm ET.

I enjoy watching all the shows on hgtv but I must say that Design DNA was boring.

Please, please, please make Sarah Richardson series a part of HGTV in the United States. We have THE most boring schedule. I can't stand watching House Hunters every single night with no relief.  I have changed my habit of leaving HGTV on as my "go to" site, to barley watching it at all .  Sometimes I totally forget the station at all because there are so few great shows, or new show, or anything thats a change from the same thing that has been on evening HGTV for years. Why can't we have a seady stream of the great chopws in Canada like Sarah Richardson!!!!!!!!

Design DNA was such a waste of TV time....what a bore. We lobe watching SARAH 101 & Sarah's House.....she's awesome.  Can't get enough of her.

Sarah 101 - smart TV, hard to sit through.

Design DNA - what awesomeness! Couldn't believe how cool the All-Clad pan looked when it came out of the factory. Who knew it took so much to put together household items!

I'm hooked and officially a loyal viewer.

LOVE Flipping Out.  Also enjoy watching House Hunters and seeing what your dollar gets you in other places. Also enjoy the odd episode of Property Virgins or For Rent.  That's about it! Keep Flipping Out - best show on HGTV.
