Yes, that's right. There is no home big enough, no grass green enough to satisfy those discerning New Yorkers...

The home had undergone three additions, including a 10-car garage!
On last night's episode of Selling New York, the Kleiers went on a little personal shopping trip for a busy New York couple who wanted a country getaway. We never met this elusive couple, but we did get to meet a few of their potential Connecticut pied-a-terres, in the form of estates with square footage in the double digits. (Needlessly, Samantha Kleier explains that Connecticut is a very popular and affluent weekend getaway destination for well-to-do Manhattanites.)
Priceless segment: While on their scout, Michele and daughter Samantha came upon a 14,000 sq ft behemoth, listed at $3,695,000, that failed miserably in the wow department.

The ballroom.
Personally, I enjoyed every minute of the Kleiers' sober observations, but if I put my reality cap on for just a minute, what kind of world must one inhabit to be so utterly blasé about, for instance, A BALLROOM!!!???
Yes, the house had a ballroom. (I think all of us who were enjoying the live blog of the episode exclaimed "Who is going to clean that place??" at the same time.)
Here are some more choice snippets from the Kleiers' assessment of the home:

The bedroom.
Michelle: "Very disappointing..." -- agreed.
Listing agent: "The master bath is great however, you'll love it!"

Michele: "In a house like this, they couldn't find space for his and her bathrooms?" -- Yeah!! What the...
I guess they had a point though, the property is still on the market, and now for $3,995,000 -- that's $300,000 more than the original listing!
What do you think of this place? Bizarre? Business as usual for the ultra rich? Want to live there?
