Three things emerged as kind of THE BEST from last night's episode -- Episode 3 -- of Selling New York:
3. What a crazy business staging is, in New York City real estate!

350 West 23rd Street, a CORE listing from last night's episode that was staged to the success of an almost-sale. Still on the market for $4,750,000.
I'm part of the last resistance against staging and its powers -- I just don't really buy it -- but last night I had to concede defeat as I watched the overwhelming transformation of two million-dollar apartments, from cold (albeit ginormous) boxes to full fledged sleek and/or opulent lairs of luxury.
2. I'm Older than I Feel

In our Live Blog of the episode -- which we do every week by the way (join the fun!) -- the copacetic chat took a stone cold turn toward this wake-up call: Though I may feel like an 18-year-old, I definitely don't look it, not even in a 1.5cm x 1.5cm avatar photo, as per the comment from one of the participants last night...(see above.)
1. This guy: Indashio.

The chapeaux, the fabulousness, the reality that he can afford $15,000 a month rent on a career in fashion!!!!!!!!!!!!????? This must be a New York thing, because there are about two jobs in the Canadian fashion scene that can afford your eyeballs the composure to gaze upon such a number... If you missed the episode, Indashio, a designer, stylist and ex-reality TV star (Glam God with Vivica A. Fox) railed off a scroll of must-haves for his new apartment: floor-to-ceiling windows, door man, private outdoor terrace... throw in an outdoor shower...and a budget of, that's right, $15,000! Why wouldn't he just buy a place?
This show is getting funnier...
See you next Wednesday for our live chat?
