Admittedly, I've been leading up to this interview with Jim Caruk of Real Reno's, at the opening of his BIY Centers in Toronto, for some time now, but really, I hope you find it as entertaining as I did! He's such a straight-up guy, and I rarely take anything seriously (not to mention have zero idea as to anything to do with contracting), that the dynamic is a bit humorous. (Not sure if you'll get that, but I sure felt it!)
It was none the less very illuminating to chat with Jim, and after getting the particulars of the Center out of the way, I throw him some popular HGTV.ca questions about decor (in Part II.)
Some highlights? Jim's not so much into modern, loves a light floor and has apparently no idea he's a big hit with the ladies! I go on to push that subject a bit, and even get him to conjure up some high school memories... Enjoy!
