Makeover: Peter Fallico's Home To Flip Finale

Before, clockwise l-r: living room, kitchen, basement, attic space home of the future master suite

The finale episode of Home To Flip aired this past Monday, and if you didn't see it, you don't know whether or not seasoned flipper Peter Fallico turned a profit on this small, but charming Toronto home. I'm not going to spoil it...you can find out by watching the episode online.

If you did see it, what did you think of the entire project and final appraisal? Peter added a lot of must-haves to this home -- two new bathrooms -- plus a reno'd full bath on the main floor for a total of three -- an upstairs master suite, a finished basement with laundry, fireplace, family room and a renovated kitchen. Even the backyard got a makeover. The home is perfect for a young family or down-sizers with some cash to burn (after all, Peter paid over $600,000 for the house in the first place!).

Tell us what you think in the comments below -- and don't worry Peter fans -- he'll be back this fall fall with a new show, Home To Keep, where he helps people fall back in love with their homes.

Wow, it's gorgeous... and way over budget. It would be refreshing to see a designer come up with a stunning makeover that stays on budget. Who has an extra 50 grand sitting around? Top notch design work though :)

Peter may have gone way over budget but his goal wasn't affordable renovation, it was to flip a house at a profit... and from the sounds of it, he made a tidy sum! I think he knew what he was doing, he understood his market and what buyers wanted... that's why he was successful. Going over budget was probably just what he needed to do!

I have only watched a couple of this season's Home To Flip, but I love Peter's work.  I am really looking forward to his new show!

I absolutely love Peter's work, however, I do agree with lil mrs j... it would be refreshing and truly inspiring to see a designer renovate a home with a budget that the average Canadian actually uses.  How about 50,000 for a whole house instead of just a kitchen??  This is the challenge that most of us face. :)  Help us!!!

I wonder how much of the "staging stuff", ie. furniture, curtains, towels, bedding, etc., actually is sold with the house.  Sometimes that really adds to an already out of control budget that should be used just for the actual renovation.

Unrealted to the beautiful (& way extravagent) makeovers...Peter needs a haircut! He looked much better & younger when his hair was shorter. Now, it just looks like he's trying to compensate for his bald spot, which looked fine...when his hair was short! Still love ya, Peter! :)
