Designer Kelly Deck's talents are on full display in this backyard makeover from Take It Outside, season 3. She turned James and Michelle’s strip of empty, street-facing grass into a playful and inviting living/dining room, making it ideal for entertaining.
An enormous tiered deck fills the entire space and levels out the yard’s surface. Over-sized dining chairs adorned with green cushions line a low dining table for casual eating. Dozens of bright orange lanterns along the back wall provide ambient lighting.
On the opposite side, a massive curved sofa is the center of a luxurious living area. And in between, enough space to dance the night away! I love this yard for the space, privacy, fun orange and green colour scheme and Kelly's use of plates as wall decor. It's a great example of bringing the indoors out.
