Video Exclusive: Tommy and a Few Surprise Hosts Reveal Personal Paint Preferences

You've seen the Sarah Richardson interview Elana posted where the goddess of design discusses her new Designer Palette for Para Paints; today watch a few of your other favourite hosts as they weigh in on some of Sarah's trademark tips and disagree on controversial colour topics (Elana throws out some tough questions).

Sarah's sidekick Tommy, Home to Flip's Peter Fallico, Pure Design's Samantha Pynn and Julia Black (also our resident Green Geek), and designer extraordinaire Arren Williams were all in attendance to support Sarah's latest project and we got a chance to see how chummy these hosts really are. Plus, we learned Tommy's nickname for Peter Fallico and you will too!

So accent walls, painted ceilings? Which hosts do you agree or disagree with?

'Me' thought Vanessa, that it was 'me' computer but I see that it wasn't. :)

Peter seems to be such a genuine nice guy and soooo sweet and Tommy is a cutie.   Nice to get the 'experts' opinions, funny though how they don't necessarily agree.   Personally I don't have a problem with a painted accent wall, but do prefer it if the space is recessed.  As far as baseboards go, I have both in my home.  Some are painted out with the same color but have a different finish while others are accented to tie in an architectural element . I also love to see a ceiling painedt in other than white.     Super post!

Question:  I'm curious as to where is the interview taking place?  It appears they are on a roof top or is that an illusion?

Great video, thanks for sharing.

I'm a fan of painting trim and walls the same, and agree having a pearl or a semi-gloss on the trim helps define the feature.

I did good than- light grey ceiling and 3/4 of the wall. Lower suade brown with glossier gray/brown stripe(2)( thick-10")at 3/4 mark and 3" from the ceiling. Looks great! now I'll do my laundry room to match, its across the hall. I have been paying attention!
