Makeover: Home To Flip Season 2 Master Bedroom

Only Peter Fallico could take a dirty old attic and transform it into this lovely loft bedroom. This Home To Flip reno turned a two-bedroom house into a three-bedroom house with square footage to spare — something that will obviously add value when it comes time to sell.

I love the addition of bamboo flooring. It's eco-friendly and very chic. Luxe linens and a custom-made bench finish the room, perfectly in keeping with Peter's signature style: decidedly upscale yet cozy.

What is with Mr. Fallico?  While I enjoy his show, it annoys me to watch his grinning face at the end, telling viewers how much he went over budget, because he LOVED something or other!

Seriously, ANYONE could do his job if all it takes it selecting items you love without consideration for any kind of budget, which most 'ordinary' people must deal with.  I could even understand going over budget a few hundred dollars...but by thousands?  Mr. Fallico is the LAST person I'd want to hire to do anything in my home...I could only imagine the cost.

How about really showing viewers your talent by transforming a room into something beautiful, WHLE STAYING ON BUDGET.  Now that's something we could all learn from!

JAT - you have obviously never renovated nor built a home. One ALWAYS goes over budget. In fact, they tell you to expect to go at least 15% over what you originally planned! Contingency plan...  Plus, stuff happens.... that is just they way it is. If you can't afford it - don't do it.
