Discuss: Sarah's House Episode 8, Family Bath

The end is approaching...only two episodes of Sarah's House left!  This week, Sarah and Tommy took on the family bath, not to be confused with the yellow main bath we saw earlier this season, which serves guests. The family bath has to be functional enough to work for adults and kids, hence the double vanity, huge shower and pool-deep soaker tub. So what did you think? Yay to the plaid drapery or nay? Did the tub create any pangs of jealousy? (I know I felt it!)

Comments:

Would've been better if the vanity countertops were white.

Overall, this is my least favourite of her designs.

When i look at the house every day i think that the house can be teh perfect bed and breakfast .The new part can be teh family one and the second level with the 2 rooms and the bathromm will be perfect for the guest.Wath do who think about this???

Love the colour scheme and the vanities. The tub doesn't do anything for me, nor does the faucet tower. Just a bit too mod for my personal tastes.

Ugh.  Two weeks of blatant product placement with Sarah holding the cleaner in her hands.  Give me a break!  I'm definitely not feeling the flow between spaces in this house.

While i don't always like the amount of white that Sarah uses...I love her general design ideas.  This bathroom was amazing and damn do I wish I could get a tub like that in my apartment!!!

I love all of Sarah's design scheme, however this is my least favorite.  The mouldings are a huge hit with me though.

I have been a devoted viewer since her debut on HGTV with Room Service...I do wish she could come to my home and splash her flare everywhere!

love the plaid curtains, love the bathroom, one of my favorite rooms so far. So jealous of the bath tub.

Product placement doesn't concern me as long as Sarah stays on the air with shows.

I was really diggin' those indigo penny round tiles! She could have used them as an accent around the mirrors... Nice but seems a bit crowded for such a big bathroom.

I never blog, but I love Sarah's House/I caught a glimpse of the show on another network that I normally cannot access and am so happy it is now on HGTV

Thank you,

I'm sorry, but this whole house does nothing for me. I love Sarah, I love her designs - but this one is just creepy or odd or something, I can't put my finger on it.

The bathroom looks to be very family friendly...lots of storage and great colour scheme!

LOVE EVERYTHING - would also love to see this series (and any future programs) done as an hour long program. Been reading comments on FaceBook-everyone is entitled to an opinion but I have to say that I DO understand the partnering issue with Sears & Green Works. Maybe a special program showing the behind the scenes of production/producing/editing etc.....would help more people to understand what it takes to put a show like Sarah's House together. Holmes on Holmes did this and I found that episode extremely interesting. Even before the comments sprouted up on FaceBook about sponsores product making it into the program, I always thought it would be interesting to see what it takes to bring such a high quality show to the public. I really hope HGTV considers doing something like that as well as making Sarah's show an hour long. I am sure they must have enough footage to do that.
