It's Wednesday and you know what that means... a new episode of The Green Geek with Julia Black of Pure Design. We've already learned about gas emissions and VOCs and upcycling and reusable decor; this week it's all about conserving water and saving energy. Julia reveals some startling facts -- for example, did you know that up to 40% of the drinkable water that comes into your home is flushed down the toilet? Or that side-by-side refrigerator doors use more energy? Learn how you can save up to $600 on your energy bills and more in this week's episode of The Green Geek.

Next week: Julia creates a DIY headboard.

Some great tips Julia.  Thank you!

As you mentioned convserving water, the other day while in an upscale Showroom I noticed how 'deep' some of the lavoratory sinks were and found myself questioning the validity of such design as who bathes in the sink nowadays?   Also wish to mention some of the offenders :)  were leading Manufactures and the products were top-of-the-line.   Go figure!      -Brenda-
