Video Tour: The 2010 Dream Home: Foyer, Dining, Kitchen, Living Room

I was excited to take a designer-led tour of the 2010 Eurodale Dream Home presented by The Toronto Star and Cityline (whew, that's a mouthful!) last month. This year's home was imagined by four designers and Cityline Decor Experts: Janette Ewen (who designed the 2009 home), Ramsin Khachi, Sharon Grech and Karen Sealy (who unfortunately was trapped by snow/traffic and couldn't make it). Each designer had control of a space and the result was a unique, visually interesting home that was cohesive even with four cooks stirring the design broth.

There was so much to see that I broke it into three parts for your viewing pleasure. Part 1 is the exterior with Brendan Charters of Eurodale Developments, who explains the luxury modular design, a first in Canada. Then, Janette Ewen takes us through her whimsical foyer and dining room, which includes the Alice in Wonderland-inspired vignette above.

Part 2 is the crystal-inspired kitchen by Ramsin Khachi which leads in to a textured, welcoming living room. As a bonus, Khachi created a mudroom with a super-cute and practical dog bath. Stay tuned on Monday for Part 3 -- the children's nature-themed play room and bedroom -- which was my personal favourite part of the space.

Comments:

I enjoyed Ramsin's/City Line's kitchen and I was looking forward to a peek at the crystal inspired counter top.  The doggie/children/boots area is a wonderful idea, especially today as it is raining out and is producing wet fur.  Good work folks.

Love the horse print. I've been saying it all year. In 2010, horses are the new birds!

And yeah, the dog bath is genius. Must have one.

I just loved the show, Phil Down Under. I loved watching him in England and I'm glad to see he has gone on his own. Again, loved the show and looking forward to seeing more.
