You just can't help but love a room designed by Sarah Richardson. Her rooms always look ultra clean, stylish and ready to be lived in (but not too lived in. I'd always have a Dustbuster in hand to clean up every crumb as it fell). But I have to say that her kitchens are my favourite. Even a country farm kitchen, like the one above from Sarah's House season three, looks quite contemporary and even glossy. I love the juxtaposition of the shiny counters with the worn down wood floor — and the delicious-looking breakfast treats on the island don't hurt either.
Knowing that the kitchen is the heart of the home, Sarah created one big room out of a bunch of smaller, awkward rooms and combined modern and vintage lighting and turned big box cabinetry country with a splash of colour.
