Discuss: Sarah's House Episode 5, The Dining Room

What did you all think of last night's Sarah's House makeover? Did the dining room do it for you? I like that Sarah is continuing the vintage theme throughout the house, but I'm beginning to long for a little bit of modernity. A few chatters during the live blog last night agreed that maybe the bird theme should go the way of the dodo. The house is gorgeous and will be consistently so, I'd just like to see the aesthetic shaken up is all.  But enough about what I think, leave your comments below!

LOVE those Ikea chairs.  Just had me a first-hand look at them last weekend.  Thinking of taking some home for the backyard.

There are many elements that I love in this room -- agree Elana, those chairs are fab and affordable! The architectural fragments in the door are amazing and that hutch! But I can't swallow the wallpaper this time, I just can't. Still, it's a risk I'd never take in my own home and so I admire her ability to go there.

Love it when they use things that are readily available for regular folks - the Ikea chairs!    Helps us to bring their ideas to life.   I am so happy to see that she has tagged up with Sears - this is another great way for all Canadians to see where she picks up some of her great finds.  Looking forward to more of that.

I especially loved the wallpaper - or laminated material - it is very daring but works well with the plate rail wainscotting and has given me an idea for our new house.  Even those birds work!
