Live Blogging Tonight: The Season Finale of Marriage Under Construction!

Can you believe the season finale is here already? Like a lot of you, I feel like Nat and Rod have become friends of mine over the past 12 episodes (and not just because Elana and I met them on our exclusive tour, but because they're so down-to-earth and relatable). I've enjoyed watching designer Melissa and contractor Steve work their way through the gut job of an old house to turn it into a dream home. I've squealed with excitement upon hearing the news of the birth of Rod and Nat's baby girl, Abbey. And now it ends...fittingly enough with the nursery makeover!

Synopsis: There’s only one space left but it’s very special -- the nursery. With the house so close to completion, the couple invite some close friends and family over for a tour. Along the way, the two reflect on the ups and downs of their huge first-home makeover. Then the guests experience Chef Rod’s scrumptious cuisine, freshly prepared in his sparkling, new dream kitchen. With Nat's due date only a month away, some of her friends have decided to take her away on a yoga retreat for a few days. While she’s away Rod, with Mel and Steve’s help, fashion a wondrous nursery with mushroom stools and an enchanting wall mural. A surprised Nat gets overwhelmed by the magical world the team creates for her bundle of joy -- a beautiful end to a spectacular season.

Have you been enjoying Elana's exclusive videos so far? The final one will be up tomorrow, featuring what Rod and Nat hoped for in the baby's room, Elana's (unsolicited) birthing advice, and Rod and Nat's love story -- awww! Be sure to come back tomorrow to check it out. And this just in: Get an exclusive peek at the first photos of baby Abbey!

Awesome show...best season yet. Amazing house. Nat & Rob are funny as hell, they need to buy another house and do it all over again, so we can watch :)  I'm gonna miss the show!! Congrats on the new baby...

I watched 2 episodes and that was more than enough - glad it's over.  Only problem now is we have to suffer through endless reruns on HGTV

I also wanted to know if they still had the 1/2 bathroom on the first floor?

Kim,

Nat and I did the guest room, but off camera.  It was last priority so we did some design magic in literally 3 hours start to finish.

The walls are a deep rich green and upholstered headboard and accessories are all in a grey that ties in with the den wall colour.

Rachelesque,

yes, we for sure kept a 1/2 bath on the main floor.  It's actually under the stairs now.  You can see the door and jut out to the left of the wine fridge.

It has an exposed brick wall, a space-saving wall mounted tankless toilet and a 5" profile, floating dark wood counterwith vessel sink and wall mounted X faucet.  We picked up an old reclaimed mirror to soften all the modern elements.  The mirror is from Timeless Materials, the guys who made the table and wood kitchen shelves.
