Live Blogging Event Tonight: Sarah's House 3, Episode 3

Hmmm....Mixed reviews on the "Main Bedrooms" episode, huh guys?  Still, I see that love for Sarah and Tommy does not wane, as any remotely judgmental comment from y'all was promptly followed by, "...but still love you Sarah!"  Have to admit, I love reading your commentary in our live blogging chat, as well as Alicia's Discuss posts, where those who don't watch and blog can mull over each episode.

But this here post is for those of you who do want in on the live action: tonight at 9pm we watch Sarah and Tommy tackle the main bathroom, where some comedy ensues as the dynamic duo confront the country septic system.  I can just see Tommy now...

Episode 3, "Main Bath": It’s a lesson on maximizing style on a minimal budget. Sarah and Tommy modernize a tired bathroom with new fixed elements like flooring, fixtures and stand alone shower. They offset the new with vintage pieces, such as a painted vintage soaker tub and vanity. The farm fresh colour palette is picked from the pastoral view.

Join me in the live chat simply by clicking on "Make a Comment" in the window below (which will appear as soon as the episode starts).   The chat will be open for an hour after the episode's conclusion, so no worries if you don't want to tear yourself away from the screen. You can also follow some of our comments from tonight's session on Twitter @hgtvcanada, and if you can't join in, we'll be following up with discussion posts every Wednesday morning, where you can catch up with other Sarah fans who don't watch TV with a laptop...  See you tonight!

I was sad that no one noticed that the washer and dryer should have been reversed in the laundry room.  Try putting the clothes from the washer to dryer the way it was..........ewe...also I have used front loaders at my daughter's house and if theyt are NOT raised they are back braking work!!!!  Especially as much wash as Sarah will have with a baby!!!!!!!!!!  Also I thought the beverage area looked weird in that space, would you leave your guests in the upper floors to use it???  Not sure about that...

How many houses can one person own? LOL!

I saw a quick preview of the bathroom, and the kitchen, and have to say that I am not into the yellow / buttery tones at all. It does look good but... maybe not yellow.

Stella, you should vote on our question of the week - it's all about yellow!

I like the overall concept but some choices are a little more shabby than chic. I would find myself sanding down the vanity and shelf and painting them instead of living with it's original charm.

Who has this kind of money?

Anyone know what tile store Tommy goes to in the 3rd episode of season 3?

I live in the country in a farmhouse similar to the one Sarah is overhauling and I was super astonished that she didn't put closets in the bedrooms! We have a 1 1/2 story house and in the 80s the last owner built closets into the eaves and they're huge, awesome closets. Plus we have 2 linen closets in the hallway and our house is actually smaller than Sarah's. I cannot stress enough the need for storage in the country! I also don't see WHO is going to buy the house. Luxury designed on 50 acres with NO fences and no horse barn? She'll have a hard time selling this one. I think they're in WAY over their heads.

But again, anyone know where or what the name of the tile store Tommy goes to is called? They have the tile I need!!

Love, love your new episode.  I am a fanatic of farmhouse style but with a more modern twist...and guess what I love yellow!!! Watching this new show very closely as I think some of your ideas will be in my renovations' plans.  Keep up the good work. Always loved your style.  Tommy - you are a gem!
