Just in time for Valentine's Day and to get you in the mood for love, I bring you the romantic design concept known as a Love Shack.
Basically, a Love Shack is a cushioned space that you enjoy in a reclined position that is low to the floor and creates a cacooning effect. It's a great way to transform a space in your home into a highly functional and recreational area that everyone can enjoy on many different levels. A Love Shack can serve as a bedroom, a lounge or chill-out room, a television room, a reading room, or as a spare guest room - the decision on how to use the space is up to you, but one thing is certain you and your guests will be intimate and cozy!
Anita Wiklém of Wiklém Design Inc. has been designing and installing Love Shacks for her clients for many years and I had the oppurtunity to visit her own personal space in order to learn more about Love Shacks and how to create one on your own.
