New! Lunchtime Fix: Favourite Kitchens Photo Gallery

One of the perks of working in digital media is that surfing the Internet is part of our job. But if you don't work online, chances are you do some surfing of your own during the lunch break. Perhaps a little news here, a smidgen of gossip there and then you check out your favourite blog (us, right?). With that in mind, I'd like to introduce a new regular post here on Style Sheet -- the Lunchtime Fix. The Fix will always feature gorgeous photos of rooms from our shows and hosts to inspire you and to give you a hit of style to feed your eyes while you're fueling your body.

Keeping the lunchtime theme in mind, our inaugural Fix is a slew of kitchens photos from past seasons of Sarah's House and Cottage, Pure Design, The Style Dept., HGTV's Top 10 and Colin & Justin's Home Heist. In the words of Julia Child (and now, forever aligned with Best Actress nominee Meryl Streep): Bon Appétit!

I like the idea of a copper sink. Give the kitchen an antiqued look ,but still fresh because of the white cabinets.

Those farm-style apron sinks look fabulous.  Does anyone know if they are resistant to chipping, scratches or stains?  Any experiences out there?

Hi Val, I have one from IKEA, and it was very affordable - $300!  It's pretty durable but it does scratch a bit.  Actually, it's not so much scratching, as marks that look like pencil lines from coming in contact with other kitchen utensils.  Much of it comes off with a good scrubbing, but we've had it ours for 4 yrs now and it's definitely got some ware on the bottom.  It doesn't bother us though.  I know that the more expensive ones are much more resistant to these marks.

I'm updating my kitchen sink with a new brushed stainless steel double sink; one small and one larger.  What faucet finish would best suit the brushed stainless steel?
