Live Blogging Tonight: Marriage Under Construction, Episode 4

To kick off: a little reno strife. Rod wants a dream kitchen; Nat desires a bedroom spa.  Enter the engineer who settles it by pointing out which walls are load-bearing and can't be removed, so Melissa diverts Rod and Nat's attention by suggesting a backyard wonderland. She reveals her plan, including a big deck, outdoor kitchen and a landscaped yard, and Steve and the crew set to work. After a heated tennis match, Rodney gets the news of a lifetime...Natalie is pregnant!

Will he cry?  Will I cry?  To join me in the conversation tonight, simply watch and post your comments in the comment box immediately below, by clicking on "Make a comment" (which will appear when it's time to chat!)  See you back here at 9pm!

p.s. If you missed our live blogging of episode 3, do go back and read the conversation and comments -- the couple can be a little polarizing...And watch last week's episode to get caught up!

Everyday characters that anyone would love, but wouldn't admit to.

I'm interested in the renovation of this house but I find Rod to be very offensive in what he says and how he acts. This takes away from what could be a good show.

Gosh you guys are square!  What's so offensive about a guy goofing around?  You can't possibly tell me that they're so outrageous as to make you turn away from a little reno-reality fun?  We've got shows for every taste, but I come on, these two are just young, urban jokers.  You've never had friends who were similar? Just having a good time? Offensive/trashy? waaaaay too harsh in my opinion.

These two are salt of the earth, real people.  My wife and I love the show.  The designs are also refreshing.  Seems to not be the same old decorator approach all the other shows offer.

Great work HGTV!

I agree with Elana. You people need to relax and get a sense of humour. These two are funny and natural.

when will this show cast a real couple who aren not all about "tv"? 1 were actors >2 have been on plenty  >3 the husband has been on shows too.  make this show reality for once. also every one has been in "toronto." the same shops and stores and houses and everything.  hope to see something different next season if it goes on for another one. not everybody buys their home in the city.

Terrible show, I find the two very unbelievable and not very like able, is this the best your network can do?

Nat and Rod are close friends of mine and what you see is what you get. They are wonderful, loving people. They are not actors. I love the show!
