We've just launched our Holidays site on HGTV.ca and we're all very excited about it and feeling pretty festive. And while we were thinking stockings and ornaments and gift wrapping in the summer, you may still be grumbling about the holiday displays and commercials are already bombarding us. But I think I have some fun weekend projects that just might put you in the holiday spirit!
Get Started on Gifts

Our Camille's adorable kids created this sweet shadow box frame in a fantastic video. The glittery frame would make a perfect gift for grandparents or other doting relatives. Or use a favourite photo of you and a close friend and this could just as easily become a grown-up gift.
Gift Wrapping

Why not present holiday trinkets in wrapping that's a gift in itself. One of our favourite guest writers, Denise Wild of The Sewing Studio, created this glam stocking craft for us, with step-by-step instructions and photos. And while it does require a sewing machine, you don't have to be a couturier to create it.
Tree Topper

HGTV.ca's Mia made this pretty angel tree topper (of course documenting the steps for you). Use it on your own tree or make a few and give them as hostess gifts.
Easy Ornaments

Creative crafter Gabriela Delworth loves glitter and ribbon and glue and it shows. She created this ornate Christmas ball for the holiday site. And don't worry, it's much easier to create than it looks (really, what can't you make with a glue gun?).
Entertaining Accessories

If you're planning a holiday party where you'll be popping in and out of the kitchen, that old cookie-stained apron just won't do. With some simple sewing machine skills, you can create Denise's second craft: this fabulous, festive apron. And even if you're serving pre-made finger foods, you'll look like the quintessential hostess.
