Gift Giving: Apple's Magic Mouse

This week's gift suggestion is for that one person on your list that is next to impossible to buy for. You know the one. The technophile who has everything. Who intimidates you with the sheer volume of gadgets, games and audio/visual equipment that they own and use on a regular basis. We all know one of these, don't we? This person already has multiple iPods, maybe even one of each model. They have desktops and laptops, galore. The iPhone 3GS? Already have it, and thank goodness because you can't afford to buy one for them anyway.

Never fear! I have found the perfect gift simply by doing what I do every time I have to get a gift for my husband (yes, he is that person). I visited the Apple store. This particular season, if you are not buying an iPod or an iPhone or accessories for either, the hot Apple product is the Magic Mouse. This little gadget hits the mark as a great gift idea for the Mac-obsessed techo-geek in your life for several important reasons.

1. As Mac products go, this one is affordable. It comes in at $75 (US) with shipping and while that might seem steep for a mouse, it's decent for an Apple product. Buy it at an actual store and you'll save even more.

2. It's wireless. This makes it a win-win product for the gift-recipient and anyone who has to share space with him/her. The last thing this person needs is more wires. Also, Bluetooth technology is so hot right now.

3. Seamless multi-touch surface. That's right, no buttons to click or hold down. Just a gentle tap or swipe across the smooth shell and your wish is it's command.

4. It's sexy. Well it is! Just look at it. Sleek, stylish, smooth. I want one for myself just because it looks so cool.
