Video Interview: Cheeky Bryan Baeumler of Disaster DIY

So, yeah, Bryan Baeumler is a saucy guy. I know it sounds like I swoon with every host I interview, but what can I say? I’m an impressionable person.

Anywhoo, at this past Toronto Fall Home Show I got Bryan in front of the HGTV.ca cam for a little status update on his trade. As part of the HGTV Workshop Series, he was giving a talk on building green, and obliged me with a recap. If you’re eyes are glazing over at the sound of ‘green’ I don’t blame you, but he does give a really easy tip to save energy that may surprise you. Also, my cell phone rings and it’s very embarrassing.

But that’s just Part One. In Part Two (directly below Part One), Bryan talks about his new show due out in Spring/Summer 2010, called House of Bryan, in which, by the sounds of it, Bryan kicks it up a notch… That’s all I’m gonna say.

Make sure to tune in to seasons one and two of Bryan Baeumler’s hit show Disaster DIY!

I am becoming very disappointed in programming selections that I have seen on HGTV lately.  It seems that all that is on these days in "Property Virgins", "My First Place" and "House Hunters".  I miss the programs of the past- Decorating Cents, Isn't That Clever and Design on a Dime.  I'm hoping to see some programming like those shows in the near future.  Thank you.

Hello Bryan I love all the work you do and your personality in dealing with people.

I would like to know if you can help me, my question is that i am getting ready to build a new home in the spring, and want to know if you can help or recomend good reputable contractors or builders in the Toronto or North of Toronto such as Balm Beach or Wasaga Beach area in Georgean Bay Lake. The house I want built is a brick bungalow.

Please reply, your help is greatly appreciated. My email address is: ov-1957@hotmail.com

Sincerely,

Onorina

I recently watched a show aired on Saturday Oct 24, 2009. I noticed you did plumbing on this show that I as a plumber would question why there was not a vent installed for the kitchen sink you replaced. I watch your show all the time and wonder if you have a licensed plumber giving the instructions on what is proper and what is not according to inspection codes. Thank you . I can be reached at email address Chathamsueb@aol.com. I live in Chatham, Ontario

I enjoy Disaster DYI, where quality products, information & workmanship are evident.  I'm tired of shows that slap on paint, look good on camera, but infact are junky.  Pls keep away from my house.  I enjoy the challenge of DYI, and find I'm not too bad at it. Disaster DYI along with H. on Holmes are super.   DYI especially, as they spend a little more time explaining & showing how.   I would like to buy lighter weight but quality tools made for women.  Would be nice to see that area covered in shows or included in new shows.  Some tools are just too heavy.  Have a super day!!!!
