Question of the Week: What's Your Favourite TV Home Interior?

Image from comicfortress.com

The offices here at Canwest are generally a jolly place to work -- our floor includes digital media teams for Showcase, Slice, HGTV, FoodTV, History, Global TV and more. There's often six-pack-inducing laugh riots caused by the funny links and videos we send around and we crack each other up on a daily basis. We got to thinking, lovely readers, that we'd like to introduce ourselves to you so you can get a better sense of who we are, not just what we write.

So I took a Flip camera around the office to chat with some of the staffers on HGTV.ca and FoodTV.ca about today's Question of the Week: What's Your Favourite TV Home Interior? The answers varied from the modern appeal of The Jetsons from hgtv.ca manager Mia, to Elana's fond memories of a Canadian children's show -- trouble is, she's forgotten the name of it. Do you remember the show Elana's describing? Watch the video below and tell us what your fave TV set is by leaving a comment.

Stay tuned for two new features: More get to know the staff videos and more video Questions of the Week. If you're ever downtown Toronto on a sunny afternoon and you see us wandering around filming folks on the street, stop and say hello! You could be seen in a future Question of the Week video.

Question of the Week appears every Monday on Style Sheet.

Comments:

Elana's show was definitely "Fred Penner's Place (well, Fred Penner something).

I have to agree with the person who loves the kitchens on food show's (I like Anna Olsen's!)

I always thought that the bunk bed on Diff'rent Strokes was cool - the bottom one came out horizontally and had a desk. I, too, remember the meal 'vending machine' in the Jetsons and coveted it.

I loved the hardwood minimalism and elegance of the Frasier set (minus the patched up lazy-boy, of course).

I also remember being really jealous of Punky Brewster - but maybe that was about her wardrobe and not her room...

For me it wud have to be the design set of Will and Grace which I believe was a mix of Traditional and Contemporary.
