We don't get the opportunity to travel much for Style Sheet, but having the good fortune to be part of a press trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California (thank you Disney Parks!), I had the chance to experience a little piece of Americana up close and personal with a tour of Disney's Dream Suite.
This was my first trip to Disneyland; I've been to Disney World (Orlando, Florida) way back in... err, well let's just say when I was in the eighth grade. Although my fashion style has changed this time around, one thing remains the same: the Disney parks are still the loveliest (and cleanest!) amusement parks I've ever been too. Having spent many summers of my youth on family road trips, I do consider myself a bit of an expert on the subject.
First, let me give you a little background about the Dream Suite. In the early 1960s, Disney Land's founder Walt Disney started development on a grand suite -- located inside the park -- where he and his family could stay and entertain various guests and dignitaries in style. Walt enlisted the help of famed set designer Dorothea Redmond (set designer for Gone with the Wind) to create the art concept for the interior design. Sadly, Walt died before the suite was completed and the family didn't have the heart to continue with its construction without him. Fast forward 40 years later and Disney Parks decided to complete Walt's dream, restoring the suite back to his original design.
The suite is filled with tributes to the history of Disneyland and its founder (many of which are in the photo gallery below). Some of the designs might be a bit over the top for some, but that's the point -- it is Disney after all.
Note: Some photos are courtesy of Disney.com and not part of our official tour. We just wanted to give you a good overview of each room.

Many thanks to tour guide and Disney Parks; we had a fabulous time!
