Comments:

Please rerun The Secret World of Gardens and Flower Power!  Also, I think we need a show with a focus on horticulture more than all of these "larger than life" renovation-based ones.   People are poorer now more than ever.  Inspire people with plants or other affordable projects/ideas.

March 28, 2009 6:24 PM

Where's Home Heist?  Thats the best show. Hows it not listed?

March 28, 2009 7:35 PM

HGTV is my favorite channel, but I am getting a bit tired of the feel-good reality shows like Extreme Makeover.  It seems like everytime I turn on the TV that's what I see.  How about more DIY shows that people can actually learn from.

March 28, 2009 10:59 PM

Why did you cancel most or all of your gardening shows?

March 29, 2009 12:21 AM

I agree with Marilena, where are all the gardening shows??? Some of us, have our homes the way we like them, but need help with the landscaping part of our homes. Please put more gardening shows back on and keep them on year round. As it can give us ideas through the winter for next spring coming!

March 29, 2009 10:23 AM

I see that C and J's Home Heist is not listed.  Why is that?  Is there a new show with the guys? I miss it already then! x

March 29, 2009 4:27 PM

Where are the gardening shows?I agree with Jude

March 29, 2009 6:09 PM

I agrre with grace - where's Homes Heisted from Collin and Justin?  Thats been fun to watch! Lol! Awesome!

March 29, 2009 6:40 PM

I really enjoy the decorating shows, but right now there seem to be so many British real estate etc. programs on your channel. These are interesting, but a lot of content does not really apply to us in Canada. It would be great if we could receive some of the programs that are on the  American HGTV line-up. Shows like Room by Room, Design on a Dime, Weekend Warriors, Junk Brothers and more are help to inspire projects that we can do ourselves. Please bring back more of these shows that inspire us to "do it". Cheers!

March 29, 2009 9:40 PM

Would like to see decorating show that are very budget minded. LOW BUDGET and how to use what is alredy in the home.

March 29, 2009 9:48 PM

Would really like to see a return to more gardening shows.  I love reno shows etc. but there is nothing like watching a show on gardening while enduring our long Canadian winters.

March 30, 2009 12:37 AM

I am glad to see the gardening shows will be back.

I too have about had my fill of over-the-top reno/building shows. I would really like to see more on how to make the most of what we already have. I've watched house hunters looking for more space when all they needed to do was clean up & de-clutter & they'd have plenty of room!

Help us to improve things & be practical at the same time, please.

March 30, 2009 3:47 AM

I am pleased the gardening shows are back and I'm looking forward to the new cottage shows. However,  unlike Patricia, my friends and I really enjoy the British Real Estate Show Location, Location, Location. I notice this morning it is not on. Please bring it back.

March 30, 2009 10:40 AM

Like Craig and his friends, I'd like to see more of Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer and look forward to watching them in the mornings to give me a great start to my day.  I find them informative, entertaining and professional.

A program I could do without is Colin and Justin - I'm not nine years old anymore, and can't stand the buffoons!  Originally, they were not too bad, but their slapstick, Three Stooges type performances have left me cold.

March 30, 2009 11:00 AM

Thanks for all your comments! Concerning gardening shows, we are bringing back five for spring: City Gardener, Curb Appeal, Dirty Business, Green Force and Take It Outside.

Unfortunately for all the Colin and Justin and Kirstie and Phil fans, there are no plans as yet for new episodes of Home Heist, Location, Location, Location or Relocation, Relocation - but if we hear anything, you'll be among the first to know. I'm a fan of the British shows, too, and would love to see more!

March 30, 2009 11:33 AM

I totally love Location, Location. It always feel like a travelogue through England, Scotland, Ireland. Plus Phil and Kirstie have a great sense of humour. Please bring them back!!!

March 30, 2009 12:06 PM

Why have the re-runs of "Buy Me" vanished from the daily schedule?

We only tuned in recently so the first few seasons would still be

new shows to us.

March 30, 2009 1:39 PM

Love, love, love Kirstie and Phil.  Hopefully HGTV will bring us new episodes from them soon.  I also hope that we will get to see Kirstie's new show called Kirstie's Homemade Home which is about to air in the UK.  I am glad to see that City Gardener is back on.  I love Matt James too!

March 30, 2009 3:35 PM

This just in! Soon you'll be able to watch full episodes of Location, Location, Location online - we'll post about it when they're ready to go.

Also, you can watch full episodes of Buy Me seasons 4 and 5, plus many other popular shows in our Video Center. Just click the Video tab at the top of the screen or go to hgtv.ca/video and choose the show by title (Full Episodes A-E, etc), by host (Sarah Richardson) or by theme (Web-Exclusive, Kitchens, Real Estate).

March 30, 2009 3:36 PM

Only five gardening shows!! This is supposed to be Home and Garden Television not just inside the home television. Love Take It Outside but for most of us we wouldn't or could not afford to go to the extremes that they do!

How about more shows on Canadian gardening or even organic gardening as more and more people are starting to grow their own gardens again?

March 30, 2009 4:02 PM

That and Buy Me are my favourite shows

March 30, 2009 5:38 PM

Why did you take off Extreme Makeover Home Edition?I love that series!

March 30, 2009 5:41 PM

I love Sarahs House and Home Heist.  The only two shows that grab my attention.  Hope they are both coming back x

March 30, 2009 6:59 PM

I also would like to see more real to life gardening show. I mean some people like me that are an low income. Also more for us gardeners in the northern part os Alberta or just the northern climate of Canada.

March 31, 2009 2:07 AM

I agree what happened to the gardening show. Also would like to see more gardening show for the colder climates in Canda.

March 31, 2009 2:10 AM

The ONLY shows I like are Buy Me (for the selling inspiration) Sarahs House (to wonder at all that decor) and Home Heist (to witness these stunning miracles that Colin and Justin do) and I suppose I like the garden shows even though I only have a terrace.  Oops, thats FOUR. Maybe I need to watch a maths show too!

Is Million Dollar Listing coming back with new Episodes? and can you air the First Season again?

Thanks!!

March 31, 2009 7:07 AM

OH, God, I LOVED Million Dollar Listing!  The series with the three hot realtors.  Loved it! Other faves include Home to Flip and I LOVE Home Heist.  Its totally unique and the guys are a scream.

Also love Holmes on Homes.

Thank you, Larry

March 31, 2009 10:07 AM

Love - Buy Me,House Hunters(not the International editions),Sarah's House,Real Renos,etc.

I think most people want to do smaller less expensive renos inside & out and enjoy seeing the process and before & afters.

March 31, 2009 10:25 AM

Also I'd like to see some new Location,Location or Relocation with Phil & Kirstie also Home Heist or something with the 2 guys.We don't need Home Edition as its already on other channels and I don't watch it as they build impractical large homes that the owners can't afford to upkeep.

March 31, 2009 10:28 AM

Phil and Kirstie, Justin and Collin and the girl from Unsellables. Theyre relly the only ones who make TV good to watch. Lets be honest, the Brit home hosts are better than the US imports by a mile, eh?

J T G

March 31, 2009 11:57 AM

Location, Location, Location....where is your Relocation, Relocation?!  What happened to these two brilliant shows?  Phil and Kirstie are the best.  I agree with Jayne that the Brit hosts are better than the US stuff on any given day of the week!

Looking forward to City Gardener - again hosted by a Brit.

Extreme Home Makeover is (yawn) just a lot of typical American shouting from the 10 seconds I was able to stand watching!

March 31, 2009 3:28 PM

Have to ask the same question, where is Location Location Location? The humour between Phil and Kirstie is part of the reason I watch it!  Their ideas and info on buying homes are very thoughtful and clear , even if it is across the ocean. Will be watching the new Sarah's Cottage tonight with a snow storm whipping outside my door. Gotta love this country!

March 31, 2009 4:28 PM

Oh I just love the Brit hosts too, esp Phil, Colin and Justin and I love anything with a British twist. Colin and Justin add more fun that I guess any of us have previously had and their reno's are just beautiful.  So why no Home Heist in the new schedule? Is the network crazy? As for Phil - he is just my type of man! Gets me very hot and bothered!  Is he married?  Would he go for a 27 year old Candian with a lust for life? And A LOT to offer! Lol!  Im waiting! Come get me Phil!!!!!!!!

March 31, 2009 5:13 PM

My favourite HGTV shows are anything with Sarah Richardson, Phil and Kerstie (much better than any US show) and Peter Fallico.  His house reno was beautifully done so why was it shown so late in the evening?  Hopefully he will be back this year in a new show.  I also miss the gardening shows.  They were what originally got me to watch HGTV.

March 31, 2009 6:52 PM

I've said this before - but . . .  I'd love to see more of the Location, Location, Location and Relocation, Relocation shows plus more of Sarah Richardson and more of the Junk Brothers.  Whatever happened to Designer Guys? Will we get to see more of them?  Shows I can definitely do without (and my family shares these views by the way) are Big City Broker, Million Dollar Listing, Extreme Makeover, and, unfortunately, many of the more extreme shows coming from our neighbour to the south.  Everything else is great, especially the gardening shows and shows giving good hints on how to prep a home for resale.  Far too many people don't understand what is needed to make a home presentable enough to attract buyers.  It can be done without spending a small fortune and the shows that demonstrate ways to do this are so welcome.  Keep up the good work - even if we do get more of Colin and Justin, albeit toned down antics-wise!

March 31, 2009 7:01 PM

Awesome news about LL being on line!!! I don't have TV so can only watch the shows here. Could you load mor episode of design inc.??

March 31, 2009 7:59 PM

I'm the BIGGEST HGTV fan ever!!!  It's always on at my house - no word of a lie. However, lately I have found that Holmes on Homes and Extreme Home Makeover are always on -everyday, morning, noon and night and weekends too and sometimes even twice/three times a day!! Have your ever heard the expression "too much of a good thing is not always good" especially REPEAT after REPEAT after REPEAT!! Please, enough is enough - no more REPEATS! I wish you'd bring back House and Home - it was a great show (even though I didn't care much for the obnoxious host Linda Reeves) the format was excellent and very informative - I know you can't call it House and Home but bring it back with a different name (and host). I love Buy Me, House Hunters, Selling Houses, Property Shop, Sarah Richardson's Design Inc. and her houses and cottage (looking forward to watching that tonight along with HGTV'sTop 10 - yeah new shows!), Dirty Business, Ground Breakers, Carson Arthur (I prefer Room to Grow to Green Force format) are good too. I could go on forever listing great shows you've aired in the past - remember early HGTV shows like Kitchens, Baths  and Pools and Patios - those were GREAT shows why not regurgitate them (new episodes of course).  Also, Friday nights are a little weak - definite room for improvement there!!  If you want some more input....just let me know, I'll be happy to help. :)

P.S. Kudos to you for introducing Ambrose Price to us.....he was a breathe of fresh air!!! You can't help but love him - hope we haven't seen the last of him.

March 31, 2009 8:15 PM

I'd love to see more of Sarah Richardson, Pure Design(my fav) Location, Location, Unsellables, the Stagers etc.Shows I can live without: Junk Brothers, Extreme makeover, Decorating Adventures of Ambrose Price, and Big City Broker to name a few. i love hgtv, but lately some of the newer shows have been a bit lacking while we're losing some big favorites. I am looking forward to what the spring program has to offer.

March 31, 2009 8:20 PM

I just love Ambrose and his adventures! I would love to see more. Can't wait to see Sarah's Cottage and I loved the Top 10 show tonight...keep up the great work!

March 31, 2009 11:41 PM

I seem to be the only guy here so I hope my oppinion counts.  My fave three shows are Million Dollar Listing, Big City Broker and Justin and Colins Home Heist.  As far as Im concerned theyre the best on the box!

WHERE are the gardening shows????????????

April 1, 2009 12:16 PM

Please keep up the programs that give us inspiration to de-clutter, re-arrange what we have and 'do-it -ourselves" to improve our nests and gardens. In these tough economic times, we need help to do the best with what we have. The Unsellables and Disaster DIY are great shows to inspire us. Keep them coming, thank you.

April 1, 2009 12:20 PM

My thoughts,

The good: Sarahs House/Cottage, House Hunters International, Holmes on Homes, Pure Design, Disaster DIY, Home to flip and The Ambrose Price Show. Would love to see Ambrose flip a property, now that would be funny!

The bad: Home Hiest, Big City Broker, For Rent and Million Dollar Listing.

The Ugly: Extreme Makeover(enough with the repeats), Petal Pushers and the worst of all is Junk Brothers.

Would love to see more landscaping shows. But for the most part, you are doing a great job, thanks!

April 1, 2009 1:21 PM

HGTV junkie here! Was a little worried for awhile with all the reruns, but there seems to be a lot of fresh shows lately. Like the others here, I really enjoyed Ambrose, a breath of fresh air indeed. But my all time favourites are of course Sarah and Tommy and Mr. Holmes!!!

April 2, 2009 7:39 PM

Over the past couple of years I feel that the "Garden" in HGTV has disappeared.  While I enjoy home reno shows, I feel it has been very overdone.  I also feel that there have been WAY too many repeats.  Wish you would look back to the schedules of may years ago and ways to incorporate/bring similar shows to the air such as: Kathy Renwalds gardening, bugs and blooms, etc.   Please bring the "Garden" back in HGTV!

April 6, 2009 11:30 AM

I love Mike Holems and Sarah RIchardson!  Thrilled to see they are back for another season. Is Marriage Under Construction part of the spring line-up? I saw the casting call for couples and can't wait to see the design Tara comes up with.

April 11, 2009 1:13 AM

what ever happended to Peter Falico?  I love his work!!!!
