Brace yourselves: gardening mania is about to begin!
Our romp through this year’s Interior Design Show – held annually in Toronto – yielded some good design and décor tidbits that we’re enjoying bringing to you here on Style Sheet. Today’s video clips we purposely held onto until now, as they pertain to your outdoor spaces and gardens. And...well, who would have cared to get inspired about outdoor spaces at the time the show was actually happening, which was in early (depressing) February.
So, with a few, (very few) sunny, above-zero days behind our belts, and with Canada Blooms recently come and gone, we think it’s time to start thinking gardening and outdoor decor.
One of the biggest draws of IDS are the 5x5 spaces – dwelling installations conceived and realized by different firms and designers, every year. One of those spaces at IDS09 was an outdoor installation designed by landscape virtuosos, Earth Inc., the team behind the popular HGTV show, Dirty Business.
I got a chance to speak with Lorne Hancock of Earth Inc., Dirty Business who walks us through their installation. And there are some great tips and ideas!
