Colin & Justin Design My Dream Home

Home Heist

Don't get too jealous. Unfortunately, the Home Heist boys didn't actually transform my tiny condo — but the magic they performed on Kathryn and Ken's live/work studio loft in episode 9 took my breath away. This is my ideal living space. I love all the white mixed with hits of bright colour. I also love the open-concept layout, which of course comes with loft living. It just needs to be well organized and clutter-busted before it becomes comfortable.

This was what Kathryn and Ken had going on before Colin & Justin rushed to the rescue.

And this is the stunning space after white washing with matte paint, coating the harsh black railings in silver, and obviously re-organizing and re-furnishing so instead of being dark and dingy, this studio looks positively inspiring.

See all the befores and afters from Colin & Justin's Home Heist.

Amazing! I think this is the most exciting and the best of all their episodes so far, I mean every time it looks awesome but this is taking it to the next level, it is like virtually another condo. Bravo Colin and Justin! I wish they could design my house- but a girl can dream........... and dream.................

I really do love these two guys as feel they are the 'genuine mccoy'; however to be truthful I think they are  far too often unpractical in their choices of decor.   Sorry guys, but I don't like being a slave to my house!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!  That show in the loft was awesome, eh?  Loved the restrained use of colour on this one, though I LOVE the way they sem more confident than a ot of other TV designers.  C and J just seem to be Getting better and better with every week that passes.  Just got their Home Heist book and its SO crammed with info on style and design and a load of it seems so relevant to my situation... ie limited cash!!

Well done to these dudes for showing how to be stylish without spending every cent we have!

PS - I would be greatful if someone can tell me a couple of points about them for a student paper I am writing.  Where exactly in Britain (yes I know they are Scotch but where?!) are they from before they moved to Vancouver, what was their first ever show here in Canada on HTV and are they doing another Million Dollar property Challenge show?

Thanks for any pointers,

Dora x

Not only do I love your "art" with the houses you give life to I admire and think highly of both of you. Last year I had the honour of meeting both of you in Streetsville when you were shooting for your show. I was so excited (and very nervous), and yet you were so both as wonderful in person as you seen on T.V.! (Enough with the buttering up, ha! ha!) My husband and I have been married for 15 years. We have two wonderful childern.  We both own our own businesses (mine in Streetsville for 19 years) With both of us working long hours to make ends meet, me having a hard time getting through cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure is nothing compared to a few rooms THAT NEED YOUR HELP!  Only  you can save us! Please come to our rescue and make our house a home.Owner of Hot Tips Nails N" Esthetics
