A few weeks ago, Vanessa and I had the fortune of attending the media pre-opening of Canada's first
Crate & Barrel store in Toronto's Yorkdale mall. Although I had heard many wonderful things about Crate & Barrel, I did not know what to expect and I was excited for my first Crate & Barrell experience!
I had been keeping my eye out for some amazing Halloween-themed housewares because up until this shopping experience I was having an extremely hard time finding Halloween-themed housewares that weren't junky, tacky, or cheap looking. As we manouvered our way through the different departments, we finally came upon the housewares department where, low and behold, they had a couple of displays of beautiful and modern Halloween decor pieces for the haunting holiday.
I instantly fell in love with the cute black cat and candy corn Halloween mugs.
I felt that the pumpkin jars would be the perfect way to subtly introduce Halloween and color into any space.
Other Halloween items that I also thought were exquisite and worth mentioning are a
Spider Web Lantern Candle, a
Spider Bowl, and black and orange
Spiral Rimmed Plates. Although the Halloween selection wasn't that large, each of the pieces in this collection were fun, beautiful, and of the utmost quality.
Needless to say, I love Crate & Barrel's contemporary aesthetic and all of their beautiful products are affordably priced. It was definitely refereshing to find these Halloween treasures and I am excited to have another home and home decor shopping option in Canada!
