Sarah's House Nursery Makeover

Sarah's House season two has gotten off to an unsurpringly gorgeous start. With the help of her trusty and adorable side kick Tommy Smythe, Sarah Richardson turned a bland, bare room into a serene dream space for baby using muted greys, pale blues and soft brown tones that when combined look fresh and gender neutral. The room is a mix of high and low with pieces from Ikea and the Real Canadian Superstore mixed with those from Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn Kids.

Episode two also features a striking red home office with sleek metal accents and soft accessories like a framed, patterned bulletin board, organic shaped vase and fresh flowers. And on Tuesday at 9:00 pm on HGTV, Sarah and Tommy tackle the master bedroom — a makeover you won't want to miss.

For a sneak peek at the master bedroom before Sarah and Tommy got their hands on it, be sure to visit the Sarah's House site, where you'll also find befores and afters of every room as episodes air, where to buy resource guides so you can recreate Sarah's looks at home and videos so you never miss an episode.

Are the giant wood balls on the floor just a tripping hazard or are they meant to amuse a child who probably would be crushed by them!?

Serene dream space??  That is a very un-original room for a child.  What ever happened to parents doing murals on the wall for kids?  I would prefer to see a room that is designed for the kids, and not a parent with too much money on their hands.

just looking at the nursery, I can tell that sarah designed it because it has her touch that I can't describe, I wish that sarah could design my house but it is just a dream. keep up the good work!

this is not typical sarah, it looks a bit cheap than usual, the one sarah did for her own daughter was 10 times better, is this a sign that the economy is hindering her finances?? I have seen better, hope the other rooms are better

I love the idea with the hand painted letters! I adds tons of character! I also like how Sarah used a plate rail instead of a chair rail. I'm enjoying this season more, because the budget is more realistic, but I don't think the budget is getting in the way of Sarah's style

This is colour scheme I was going for in my nursery and I love the design.  Target actually has a bedding set in the same colours with an alphabet and number design that would match quite well!
