This is a great show.  I also wish it would stay in Canada although I would still watch it even if it took place in the US.  Why can't the show come out to the Western Canada?  We have a lot of first time buyers here!

I absolutely love Property Virgins. My husband and I are currently starting the search for our first home and thanks to this show we've been able to understand that we may not get all we want, but to be able to see past bad home decor.

I am addicted to this show. I have the show on copy with my PVR.

I even watch some twice. I only wish Sandra would get a new winter coat without the fur collar. We can barely see her face when she wears that coat. That is my pet peeve with the show. Also, lately Sandra has not always asking the new buyers the price.Does she forget or is that part of the script ?I like it when the Virgins guess the price.Keep up the good work I enjoy the show no matter where she goes. Altho' I do agree it would be nice to see her come to Calgary. Janice

Love the show but I, too, wish Sandra would stay in Canada.  It's more interesting when it's here but I enjoy it, wherever it is.  Keep up the good work.

I enjoy this show - and its grown on me from its inception. And I completely agree with the previous posts that the show should focus more on Canada and not the US.

I do find at times that Sandra is extremely condescending and pushy.  But, sometimes first time buyers need some strong guidance... but it border lines ignorance.

I would like to see the show with the couple from Toronto that had the big budget, $800,000.  It is interesting to see what you can buy in Toronto for this money.

Love the show and Sandra does a great job of giving first time buyers a reality check on what a starter home costs.  I prefer the show in the Southern US, the money goes farther there.

Yes I have loved this show from the beginning and am guilty of watching the reruns.  I would really like to see follow-up shows of where these "Property Virgins" are now - have they stayed in their first home and if so what have they done with it or have they sold and moved on and to what ?  Thanks for great information, interesting personalities, and an inside look at the home-buying process.

This show is so TV. Most buyers we meet are not like this... These TV Clients are acting on their best behaviour and so agreeable. What's the problem with that? The viewers think this is normal.

She travels from Canada to the US as an expert of all the areas, So this Salesperson has her licence in every state and Canada?  I'm in ontario, I cannot do business in BC as I have to write and pass an exam and even when I do that I have to park my license in Ontario to do business in BC. It's a big process. She has to consult the Salespeople in that area to act as their Agent/Salesperson. But on the show she portrays she does it all.

I see that as misrepresentation.

Her personality? I love it, but the show is not reality.

If she is a vetran in the Real Estate Business then no wonder our industry has such a bad reputation.. I could have called RECO the few times I watched the show, and finally I stopped watching because of all the wrong doings I witnessed!!!!! Remember Real Estate professionals could be watching the show and take their ethics, professionalism and careers very seriously. If you are going to educate the public do it right, or don't do it at all..

I'm a fan of the show and I enjoy watching Sandra.  As a US resident, I agree with some of the other comments here--the show should be focused on Canadian properties--that's the reason I started watching it in the first place.

I too love your show! As a single mother of two with a yearly income of $32k what professional and/or personal advice do you give regarding buying a home. I currently live with my parents after a move from another state. I want to move out, but I don't want to put myself in a position where all I can afford is my mortgage. I don't know what to do or where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I enjoy watching the show, seeing people buying their first properties. The realtor though is another story. She's condescending and stereotypical especially in the episode with the Asian mother and daughter. There's no need for dropping those snide little comments. She's obviously good at her job, but sooner or later what goes around will come around.

Love the show and I enjoy hgtv.

My husband and I love Sandra. We think she is honest and up front. A lot of real estate agents now days don't care about the people just their commission. Sandra has patients and advises 'virgins' on what's important like location rather then cosmetic fixes. Keep up the good Sandra and know that you have fans in the US.

Love the show.  I wish Sandra would come to New Orleans and help my nephew!  He has come into some money and wants to buy a house here.  We keep trying to talk to him but he is a 'typical property virgin' and we are afraid he is going to make a huge mistake.  Anyone know how to get an email to Sandra?

Oh...If anyone knows how to reach Sandra I am at james@joeandjames.net

Thanks!

I love the show and respectfully disagree with Janice above who did not like the fur collar on her coat.  My wife and I thought that it looked beautiful and professional on her.  Sandra seems like a real down to earth and nice person.  Keep up the good work Sandra.

I am an HGTV fan.  I pretty much watch it morning day and night.  When my TV is on, it is usually on HGTV.

I use to love property virgin, but a month or so ago, I started to dislike it and now, I pretty much hate it and when it is on, I will change the channel and come back when the show is over.

I think Sandra is not anymore a "realestate expert" than any other one I know that has been doing it for a long time.

I was a first time home buyer about 8 months ago and if I had her for a realestate agent, I would have never purchased my house.  She is pushy, at times rude, and appears to only care about making the sale.

At times, I can see the homeowners not really wanting to make the offer, but it seems at times, she doesn't give them an option and she pressures them into it.  I don't like that.

I am over the show.  I still watch "My First Place."  Love that show.

I think Sandra is very professional and she does not push people into making bad decisions. I would love her advising me when I decide to purchase my first home. Sandra is very honest with her property virgins and does not 'sugar coat' the details that go into buying property. Love her and love the show:)

Please keep the show (or the majority of the show) in Canada. The US has House Hunters and many other American shows. Most HGTV shows are American. Even our beloved Mike Holmes has gone south! While I am not opposed to 'sharing' Sandra with our neighbours to the south, we Canadians would like to see OUR country on our TV screens.  It's really helpful to see what the Canadian market is like out there. Again, I am one of those fans who wants the show to stay in Canada. Our market is still hot and viable, if not inflated as much anymore, and Sandra could come out West and show first timers how to get a deal on some of the houses in Vancouver that have dropped significantly. Also, I like the host's personality. That's another major reason why I love the show. If Property Virgins sticks to its original format, it will keep viewers tuned in.

Sandra is very professional.  I have bought 3 homes and her

advice is direct and matter of fact.  She does her job well.

September 11, 2009 10:49 AM

Can't stand Sandra,

First off she dashes all hope of buying their dream home by having her clients meet her in a neighborhood they clearly can’t afford and then forces, yes I said forces them guess the price of a house they may be attracted to.

Basically saying, “Sorry suckers you don’t make enough money to live here.” If she really had the clients best interest in mind she would have told them in advance the neighborhood was out of their price range and saved them the embarrassment.

Next this whole concept of staying out side while the clients browse through the house with unanswered questions is inconceivable.  She will listen in on their private thoughts only to criticize them behind their backs on TV. Pure laziness and unprofessional!

Next without fail she makes them guess the price of the house even if they come right out and ask and then will make a comment like “wow you are way off”

If they don’t like the house for any reason she will display horrific ugly faces and suggest they blow out walls, pull carpet and do things  knowing they don’t have it in their budget to do.  She is pathetic and should be fired.

September 25, 2009 11:30 PM

I agree with last poster. It’s really annoying to see her insist the clients guess the price of every property.  Who does that?

I use to like the show but the more I watched it the more she began to get under my skin especially the way she bullies and tries to get clients to buy houses they don’t like.

The faces she makes are really revealing as to what she is really thinking.
