The Frame Game

Picture frames are sometimes dismissed as the vessel that merely holds the real attraction: the photo or artwork. But, you can create an entirely new mood or look in a room simply by using your frames in a new way.

The Victorians loved adding framed artwork in their homes, going from the floor to ceiling. You can do it too. This trick will actually make your ceilings look taller.

You don’t have to make holes in the walls with this cheeky wallpaper. Just placing a few photographs here or there makes a big statement with little effort.

Creating a collage of photos is a fun way to add interest to a large expanse of wall and works well over couches, in long hallways and even over the bed in lieu of a headboard.

Finally, you don’t have to hang your frames at all if you don’t want to. It’s quite trendy to add a few strategically placed framed art on the floor. It’s sort of a nod to a bohemian, lofty look, but it’s also a good way to spare the walls!
