Andrew Richard Designs' "A Mid Summer Night" Party

I attended Andrew Richard Designs’ “A Mid Summer Night” party, which officially launched Andrew Bockner’s Toronto event spaces, “The Loft” and “The Atrium” and showcased his most recent outdoor furniture collection.

This was my first visit to Andrew Richard Designs’ showroom and spaces and I honestly, did not know what to expect. The ground floor, known as “The Atrium,” is a huge 7500 square foot space with: 14 ft. high ceilings, a skylight, floor to ceiling windows, and a large wall for art exhibits. Beautiful exterior furniture pieces furnished this space and showcased Andrew Richard Designs’ fine outdoor furniture. I felt as if I were making my way through a luxury resort as a variety of opulent woven tables and chairs, hammocks, chaise loungers, gazebos, umbrellas and teak dining sets dotted the space providing ample seating for guests to lounge upon and enjoy. Walnut hardwood flooring functioned to highlight and accentuate the earth toned color palette of the furniture, which included dark chocolate browns, deep greens, and brilliant whites.

The layout of the furniture functioned to both unobtrusively engage the partygoer and complement the space. A variety of delicious catered areas were set up throughout the space and model-esque waitresses also maneuvered through the partygoers to serve delectable hors d'oeuvres which included: vibrantly colored bruschetta, flavorful falafel, mini gourmet tacos, mini gourmet burgers and zesty blue cheese on endive. The DJ kept the party moving all night long by playing a variety of popular hits from classic Michael Jackson to Rihanna’s Umbrella(-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh).

The second floor, known as “The Loft,” is a 3500 square ft. space with a stage area and a roof-top terrace. Decorated in a similar fashion to the main floor, “The Loft” successfully functioned as the chill-out space where a more relaxed atmosphere was created by downtempo music, dim lighting, and a pseudo-spa area where guests were pampered with massages.

I had a FABULOUS time at this party and it was a great way to discover Andrew Richard Designs’ exquisite outdoor furniture and event spaces! The furniture and fine furnishings were definitely the highlight of this party and I realized how beautiful, high quality, key furniture pieces can invigorate and infuse an indoor or outdoor entertaining space with style and sophistication (see the difference in the photo above!). The party definitely would not have been the same without the fine outdoor furniture and furnishings. Visit Andrew Richard Designs official site for more information.

In response to Tony's comment...I will say that I have dealt with Andrew Richard Designs a number of times over the past 7-10 years. The product is excellent and lasts..the customer service is great and they actually make the product and stand behind it all the way. This company has been manufacturing furniture out of Toronto for almost 50 years. The designs keep getting better and I am a huge fan of the product. You can find cheaper product around and I have found that the cheaper stuff deteriorates outdoors unlike the product under the ARD brand. (who wants soemthing that doesn't last - that to me is teh rip off)  Maybe this wasn't the right fit for Tony but I recommend that you check them out!!! You won't be disappointed!
