DIY: Re-Claimed Chic

We've got a lot of great submissions so far for this month's Re-Claimed Chic Photo Challenge. Keep'em coming! We will announce the winner on June 30th. Though not submissions for the Photo Challenge, we were inspired by the crafters below who found new uses for old things.

Decorative Plate "Wonder" Wall
This one has made the internet rounds lately but it's so beautiful I had to include it. Using a collection of colourful, vintage plates, Bluelines blogger, Lisa Congdon, created an eye-popping wall display. See the full DIY instructions.

Re-Claimed Wood Accessory Wall
HGTV designer Lisa Santos attached hooks and knobs to discarded wood materials and baseboards on the show Marriage Under Construction creating a very unique and functional wall for hanging accessories. See the full DIY instructions.

Framed Bulletin Board
Using a hand-me-down canvas frame, some foam core and an apple print tea towel from Urban Outfitters, HGTV.ca blogger, Vanessa Grant, created a fun take on the classic cork board.
