Modern Lighting with a DIY Twist

From Mio online

I am always searching for new, interesting and functional focal pieces for my space. I appreciate innovation in design and designers today are better able to fulfill their artistic visions and create pieces that move beyond tradition because of the many technological advances in manufacturing and production.

The Bendant Lamp, designed by Jaime Salm, is a chandelier that lets you contribute to the design by bending the leaf-like shades around a central fixture to your desired liking. It's composed of laser-cut, powder coated steel and its eco-centric design maximizes the use of standard sheet metal which reduces waste from any unnecessary cutting in the manufacturing process. Interesting lighting and shadow shapes can be created by manipulating the structure of this chandelier and it definitely creates an engaging focal point for any room. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to add my own personal touch to my space and to create something completely unique, so I am a huge fan of any piece that has a do-it-yourself component. To compliment the color scheme of any decor, the lamp also comes in a variety of colors including: silver, white, and chartreuse.

The Bendant Lamp is a perfect way to add a modern touch with a twist of personal style to any living space!
