With three successful television programs under her belt, an interior design firm and a furniture collection, it’s about time that Sarah Richardson was recognized as one of the country’s brightest young achievers. The HGTV host and producer was named one of
Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2007. Sponsored by The Caldwell Partners, the award is given to a wide range of recipients including scientists, entrepreneurs, doctors, academics and of course, designers.
Richardson’s first foray into on-air designing was as set designer for a home decorating show. She worked 16-hour days and absorbed everything she could about making good television. And in just over ten years she has turned that job into a home decor empire. After sharing her decor tips on
Room Service, her design firm on
Design Inc. and one season of her home renovations, Richardson is working on a second season of
Sarah’s House and, we’re sure, will continue to delight HGTV viewers with captivating, inspirational content.
