I absolutely love magazines; the glossy pages, the gorgeous pictures and inspirational ideas. Whether it’s home decor or style publications, I have multiple collections stored in stacks at my home at any given time. The only problem is after a while the issues stack up and you’re left with the daunting (and sometimes heavy) task of offloading them.
So I’ve put together a few DIY ideas to help you reuse your magazines in clever ways around your home, and even work, to help you hang onto some of your favourite issues you just can’t bare to discard:
- Frame it: Take a favourite cover and frame it for your home office or at work.
- Inspiration Scrapbook: Keep decor tips handy and organized with a scrapbook specifically designated for magazine clips.
- Envelopes: Transform single-pages into envelopes as thank you cards or personal stationary.
- Decoupage: Update your favourite pencil holder with a myriad of magazine swatches.
- Wallpaper a bulletin board: Cover your work corkboard with magazine pages, overlapping them to cover every inch.
- Purse magazine holders: I took an old purse to work and regularly drop in magazines for colleagues to take for their commute home at any given time. As long as it’s in the purse, it’s fair game.
