Gardeners love to create landscapes for their precious flowers and while watching them bloom is fun, harvesting is even more exciting. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to wear your flowers long beyond garden season? Flower pendants are a fun and pretty project that also make a great gift.

There are two sets of instructions below; One involves using your own pressed flowers, the other uses pressed flower stickers. The stickers come in many different shapes on plastic sheets that you can easily find at craft stores.

Materials:
  • Pressed flowers
  • Transparent sticker sheets (if using your own pressed flowers)
  • Or botanical/flower stickers (made of transparent plastic)
  • Fabric ribbon (for this project I used double-sided silk ribbon)
  • Craft paper punch
  • Scissors

Instructions using your own pressed flowers:
  1. Select a pressed flower small enough to fit your sticker. Make sure there is space left around the flower when you place it on top of the sticker.
  2. Carefully peel your sticker from the sheet and place your pressed flowers on it.
  3. Peel off another sticker and place it right on top of your pressed flower. Your flower will be sandwiched between the stickers.
  4. Place books or another heavy object on your flower and set aside for a while.
  5. Your new pendant is almost ready. Make a hole wide enough to allow your ribbon to pass through at the top of the sticker using a thick needle or hole punch.
  6. Choose a nice ribbon for your necklace and measure it around your neck.
  7. Pass the ribbon through the hole on your pendant and tie a knot to secure it.

Instructions using flower stickers:
  1. Choose your favorite sticker. I chose an oval sticker with bright red flowers for my necklace. I thought it would make a nice big pendant.
  2. Now you will need to choose another sticker of the same shape. But you can choose a different flower as I did. I chose a white flower for a nice contrast.
  3. Carefully peel your flower from the sheet and adhere it to the other side of your pendant making sure it looks as even as possible.
  4. You might have to cut around it with your to even up the edges.
