A few bunches of cheery daffodils, some fresh green moss and a trip to the local craft store is all it takes to create this fabulous table top for an Easter brunch party.
Materials:
Napkins:
- One or two bunches of daffodils (one stem per guest)
- Napkins
- Miniature clothing pegs
- Package tags
- Scissors
Egg cup bowls:
- Egg cups (one for each guest)
- Moss plants (one plant will cover two place settings)
- Small butterflies and birds (one per guest)
- Bowls for each guest
Directions:
Napkins:
- Fold your napkins into narrow rectangular shapes.
- Take the green leaves from a daffodil stem and tie into a simple single cross over tie. Like tying your shoes.
- Tuck a daffodil into the tie with the daffodil head facing up.
- Write your guests names on each tag and clip them onto one of the daffodil leaves with a clothes peg.
- Place on your plate next to the bowl.
Egg Cup Bowls:
- Place a single egg cup in each bowl. The top of the egg cup should be higher than the top of the bowl. (If it is not, tuck some extra moss under the egg cup in the bowl to raise it up when arranging the moss in the next steps.)
- Using a knife, slice off the top of the green moss, leaving the dirt behind.
- Tuck the moss around the egg cup, keeping the egg cup centred.
- Give the bowl a wipe and place your hard boiled egg in each cup.
- Place a cute spoon next to the egg cup.
- Finish off your cheery setting with a butterfly or bird placed on each spoon.
