Pretty paper flowers are gorgeous all year round and make a whimsical and casual centrepiece.

You will need:
Tissue paper in various colours
Pencil or pen
Green Pipe cleaners
Scissors

Directions:

  1. Cut your tissue paper into equal-sized squares. Stack the squares on top of each other. Use at least 4 (preferably more) sheets of tissue paper for a full, pretty effect.
  2. Fold your squares in half to form a rectangle shape and in half again to form a square. With your scissors, cut deep V shapes into the top of the tissue papers.
  3. Open the papers up and lay flat. Shift the flowers slightly so that they don’t all line up.
  4. With your pencil or pen, poke two holes in the centre of the tissue paper cut outs about half a centimetre apart. String the green pipe cleaner underneath and through one hole and then over top and down through the other. Twist the pipe cleaners together to make a stem.
  5. Alterations: You can fold your tissue paper accordion style for further texture.
