Discuss: Summer Home, Ep. 1 The Snug -- and A Giveaway!

Good morning friends! Did you catch Summer Home this weekend? We'll be discussing the show every Monday morning and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Let's get started.

Confession: episode 1 made me tear up the first time I saw it. The cottage owner's genuine reaction to the work Karen and her team did was so heartfelt, I cried right along with her. The transformation from dark and dusty "man cave" to bright and clean bunkie was incredible. Karen added a kitchenette, complete with dishwasher compact fridge and a fireplace.

Now on to the giveaway: Elana and I joined Karen, her team and a group of design bloggers at Karen's studio on Friday to watch the premiere. Between the morning mimosas and the rum-based Sealy Slammers (get the recipe from the live blog transcripts), we still managed to live blog and shoot an interview with Karen, which we'll have up soon.

Stumbled upon this episode and enjoyed it very much. Made me think of all the possibilities that lie within our own bunkie!

Love the save on the wallpaper application, the use of vintage bed, and the repurposed glass door as full length window!

I loved the episode too and had a little tear when she saw the pictures of her family. The decorating was very nice. I have been to the store where they bought the couch I cant remember the name cottage something anyway they are fantastic and have lots of beautiful different items.. Cant wait for the next episode. Oh by the way its a fridge they put in the kitchenette not a dishwasher..I dont think there is any water to the SNUG.

I loved the show and teared up when the homeowner saw the pictures of her family. I have been in the store that the couch was purchased from Cottage something Cant remeber and it is awesome. They have lots of unique items. Oh by the way that is a fridge in the kitchenette not a dishwasher. I dont think there is water to the bunkie.
