Makeover: Bryan Baeumler's House of Bryan Kitchen

There are only two episodes left of House of Bryan! Tonight at 9pm, his wife Sarah and protege Adam plan to surprise a busy Bryan with a garage and front yard makeover. But how has the interior been coming along? My favourite room so far is the kitchen -- I love the backsplash tile (which Sarah helped install) and the dark wood of the island. There's a bit of a luxe factor going on in there with two chandeliers, leather banquets and a see-through fireplace, as seen in the photos Elana took on her exclusive house tour, below.

Are you looking forward to the final reveal? What do you think of the kitchen?

I have always enjoyed watching Bryan doing other homes. I enjoyed watching do his own project, and the house looks great. I wish he has in Western Canada, I would have him do some work for me

I have rarely watched Bryan's shows and just began watching this one.  I thought he was quite likeable once when he repaired a little old ladies deck, but I don't like the way he treats people in this show.  He is coming across as condescending and rude to his wife.  The things he said about her parents was another new low.  The word jerk comes to mind.

You've obviously never built a home with your Husband! Great show, loving the garage.

I love Bryan, love the show!!  I think he is very witty and has a GREAT sense of humour!! I am very jealous of his dream house and I wish he would build me a dream house, or maybe teach my husband how to!!

PS: earlier comment posted by Rachelesque is absolutely ridiculous.  He is very patient and a good teacher to those on his show, but he also adds spunk and keeps it realistic!!  And lets be serious, who would want to live with their in-laws.  I'd have a tough time keeping a straight face too!!!  Keep up the awesome work Bryan!

I like watching the show and likes Bryan and his wife, they are funny. However I question the designer choices in advising them. White garage door?? the furniture doesn't seem practical in some situations. Also what's their style, contemporary, traditional.. They should have gotten a better designer.

I love this show, especially since my husband and I are embarking on the same adventure. We're already fighting on whether we need a designer. I say yes. he says no.

But, after watching this show, I am tending to agree with hubby. I think I can do a better job than this designer did. It's also a lesson on both parties communicating what they want, or you other guys could end up with a pink closet! Geesh!

I love the show, but I didn't like the way Sarah was choosing things without asking Bryan if he liked it.  I was quite surprised that she wasn't working with him on it, but rather off on a spending spree and not having  input from him too. It made her  seem bossy. Anyways, that was week one and they seem to be a bit more on the same page now.  Loved the surprise garage.  No guy would park a car on that floor!

I loved the reveal but must admit my favourite part of the house was the upstairs. The kid's rooms had the most personality because of the colour impact. I would like to know where the paintings in the upstairs hall came from. They were beautiful and I think seeing them every day would be calming and inspiring. Can you tell me where I can get similar work?

We really have no way of knowing just how much the designer contributed because that is how the show was slanted. It was more about Sarah and Bryan. I think for the house to turn out as it did they all had to have done an amazing job and we should be fair to all of them (Adam too of course).

Hello Ruth,

Yes, the paintings in the upstairs hallway really are wonderful.   They are all by one of my favourite artists Mario Ricci.   You can see his work on his website manpaintsdog.com and contact him directly.

Thanks!

I think the spiral chandelier hanging over the staircase is beautiful and wondered where it was purchased how much it was. Thanks!

Hi Val,

Yes, the spiral chandelier was great.  We got it at Concept Lighting in Oakville, Ontario.

Thanks for watching!

Rebecca,

Beautiful job on the house - would it be possible for you to advise who the supplier is for both the dining room fixture and teh spiral chandelier.

Thanks,

Dee

Love, love, love everything about the house inside & out. The designer's personality though? Not so good! You could see in some episodes that she was going for the most expensive top of the line items. It wasn't her money she was spending so what did she care?

Hello Dee,

First of all, thank you!   As for the suppliers of the chandeliers, I'm not sure about that.  We looked through so many catalogues it's all a blur now.  However, if you contact Concept Lighting in Oakville Ontario and mention House of Bryan and the room you saw them in, they should be able to help.

Cheers!

Love all the design elements in the show. Does Rebecca do private consults?
