What's funny, personal, full of potential AND looks good on display? If you're thinking your spousal unit, then lucky you, but I'm thinking more like a personalized 'beck n call' hand bell. For a little relationship warmer, here's what you do:
- Find a hand bell. You can go with a wedding bell, which are always available at wedding favour stores (some even come with hearts for handles), or you can look to your local novelty gift shop and/or engraver's stand at the mall. If you're really inclined, look for an antique (tons online), or a silver version at your local department or jewelery store.
- Spend some entertaining hours thinking up a fun personalized message, which could could be cute, such as "[NAME] at Your Service", coy, such as "Yours Anytime", or just plain lewd, such as "Ring for Sex".
- Take it to your local engraver's and Bob's your uncle.
I thought of making one myself when I found a really bad version for sale on a UK website, which -- surprise -- doesn't ship to Canada.
Any suggestions for a saucy 'Love Bell' message? I'm fresh out...(should I be worried?)
