Transformation of The Brickworks, Toronto
Woah, that's a lot of Gs... Anywho, today: a gift that truly keeps on giving. Instead of buying, buying and more buying (and wasting tonnes of wrapping paper, gift bags, time and patience -- am I a Grinch?), use that cash to buy back some of your conscience (I'm mostly joking, so please don't get mad at me -- I'm looking at you Anne) with Evergreen registered environmental charity.
Evergreen began in 1991 with a mandate to bring nature to Canadian cities. Through 'naturalization' projects, such as rehabilitating abandoned Toronto industrial site, The Brickworks, Evergreen motivates people to create and sustain healthy, natural outdoor spaces around schools, public land and the home landscape. This season, you can help Evergreen improve the health of our cities - now and for the future - by donating money in the name of your loved ones. Your chosen recipient with be honored with a personalized card informing them of your generous gift, and if you chose to give $45 or more, they'll receive the gift of heritage tomato seeds, along with planting instructions.
I'm sure there's someone in your family that would appreciate this, which makes for one less person on yours list!
