Bargain Saturday: Calendars as Art

The end of the year is near and on December 1st you probably flipped over the last month of that calendar you purchased for half off on January 3rd. I always feel a little sad when I do that. We generally pick up calendars we want to see everyday for the next 12 months, right? So why toss it away? Frame it up.

  1. Pick your favourite images from this year's calendar
  2. Find some great frames
  3. Give some love to that neglected wall

Here are a few lovely calendars I'd love to repurpose:

From left to right: vintage food posters, Japanese art and antique maps from Calendar Club.

Comments:

I do this all the time. Best time for find calendars for this is January - everything's on sale because the year has already started.

I actually have matted and framed some beautiful prints from an earlier edition of that Japanese woodblock calendar. They look gorgeous in a group of three in my dining area. I love them so much that I've kept them up in my home for 6 years! Normally I get bored of art work way before that.
