Gift Giving: The Russel Wright Pitcher

If you’re shopping for someone who not only loves, but truly appreciates quality designer pieces, then perhaps this Russel Wright pitcher will bring a smile to their style savvy face.

This piece is part of the American Modern range which was originally produced throughout the 30s, 40s and 50s. In it’s heyday it had the distinction of being the most widely sold American ceramic dinnerware.

The line has since made a comeback and is licensed by the Bauer Pottery company out of Los Angeles. I stopped by Good Egg, one of my favourite stores in Toronto for kitchenware finds, and spoke to owner Mika Bareket to find out more. Watch below.

The pitcher is available in a number of colours and retails for about $110 CND. If you’re in Toronto, you can find it at Good Egg, or try the MoMA Store online.
